Dr. Staysea Sumner and her team deliver traditional Chinese medicine including
acupuncture, herbs, nutritional therapy and therapeutic body work.
We practice the art and science of true holistic healing, inside to outside and top to bottom.
We believe that you cannot separate the mind and body so every aspect of person is taken into consideration. This has every patient receiving a specifically formulated treatment plan. Such style allows us to treat a wide variety of disorders including musculoskeletal pain and degenerative forms of neurology, cardiovascular disorders, urogenital and reproductive disorders and so much more. Keeping in mind that as your health progresses and changes so will the treatments.
We strive to show our patients that acupuncture is not merely an alternative form of medical treatment, but rather a primary health care approach.
These days many healthcare practitioners rush patients in and out of treatment leaving them feeling uncared for and leaving questions unanswered. Dr. Sumner shares her time with you: Up to 1.5 hours in the first visit and 45 minute follow-ups.
Dr. Sumner takes the mystery out of what may seem complicated. You'll be educated and leave hopeful and ready to take the steps you need on your journey toward your best health. English is the main language used in the office and we can effectively communicate with out and our Spanish speaking patients as well.
When you get acupuncture treatments, at no extra charge, Dr. Sumner gives nutritional counseling, herbal consulting, cupping, moxibustion, and tui-na/body work as needed. She has many tools to help re-set your nervous system and get you back on track to your best health.
There is no blanket policy that we could refer to which guarantees coverage so each person's benefits are determined individually. We would be happy to contact your provider to find out what your personal policy may cover, including alternative medicine.

In private practice since 2005, Dr. Sumner has attained practical experience in a variety of both physical and psychological disorders. Although she is well trained in several complementary therapies, her passion and expertise lie in utilizing NeuroEmotional Technique (NET). After completing a Ph.D. with a dissertation analyzing the neuroplasticity of the brain, Dr. Sumner is compelled to help people change patterns of emotional overwhelm that often are found as the root cause of pain and disease. She utilizes Neurolink Integration System (NIS) to help reset the communication between the body and the nervous system and Nutritional Response Testing (NRT) to assess imbalances in an effort to support the organs and glands. These combinations get great results and support the patient on many levels.
She is a member of the Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (AAAOM), The American Acupuncture Council and the Red Web Society.
